Peter Graham started college at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles in Psychology as a presidential, honors and debate scholar. On the intercollegiate debate team, he reached the quarterfinals of the National Debate Tournament as a sophomore. He transferred to UCLA and received his B.A. in Philosophy magna cum laude with highest departmental honors. He received his M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Arizona where he worked with Alvin Goldman, Robert “Mike” Harnish and John Pollock, writing a thesis on authoritative self-knowledge. He completed his Ph.D. in Philosophy at Stanford University supervised by Fred Dretske on the epistemology of testimony. He was Dretske’s last Ph.D. student.
